Katie is refreshingly unapologetic about her ambitions. She wants to change the world and her community by empowering moms to pursue their calling both in and outside of their home as well as being the best mom she can be for her kids. Her podcast Ambitious Motherhood is only the tip of the iceberg.

[04:11] It was of soul searching, trials and errors, trying this business, and doing this thing, before I landed upon a true business model that fit my lifestyle. There's so many different ways, especially here now in 2020 to make money online. But it doesn't mean every single way as conducive for your skillset, your lifestyle and your family.

[07:07] When we work with that dream client, that's, that's the person who we're fully equipped to get the best result for. And when they get that best result, that's the ripple effect, the kind of the snowball that ends up bringing more dream clients to you. It's about identifying the problem that you solve and creating the best process to get there and position it for the person that is at the highest level.

[14:16] What we need is moms pursuing their passion. Think about the mom who is just so lit up. Think about the overflow. Her husband gets overflow, kids get the overflow. The world gets beyond that. And just the ripple effect.

Katie believes there is power in being a 'small’ online business. She likes to refer to it as a speedboat versus a cruise liner. In your tiny speedboat, you are able to navigate the waters, avoid the big storms by altering course, and riding that big wave to a new success when it comes. Whereas being a huge cruise liner you have hundreds of people who's lives you are now responsible for. Maneuvering needs to be done with much more caution and consideration. Both have their benefits, it is up to you which ship you want to be the captain of.

We just don't say what we want because we are always so afraid to disappoint, to look bad. We need to brave up!

[00:04:33] We go into that motherhood martyrdom role as well, where we put ourselves completely at the bottom of the heap, like under the dog in terms of priority. And I feel like it's hard to crawl back from that. But we got to do it.

[00:08:59] She talks about twenty-nine dollars being the no brainer price point. So anything lower than that? People are like, yep, sweet. I'll get it. Anything above twenty-nine. They have to think about it. So I'm encouraging my clients to create this.

[00:15:48] So often people don't say what they want. They're like, I don't wanna be pushy, I do want to be salesy, I don't want to offend anyone. But I think underneath it all, people just don't want to look bad. But as a result, and we're calling it fear of failure, we're calling it perfectionism, what we're calling it imposter syndrome we are stuck. I feel like if they worried less if they cared more about what they think and less about what others think of them, they would more easily move into that impact zone.
